Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels supplies nourishing lunchtime cooked meals 4 days a week for persons who for reasons of health cannot prepare meals for themselves, whether on release from hospital or on a longer term.

Project Action
Bermuda’s Project Action offers free bus service for seniors in private and government-run homes. Also has a specially-equipped (for wheelchair and ambulatory disabled) bus, as a service to seniors and disabled - residents only, not visitors.

Bermuda Council on Aging (BCA)
Formed in late 2006 in response to a growing awareness that Bermuda’s population is growing older, with a mission to foster dialogue and collaborative action regarding Bermuda’s ageing population and its impact on our social and economic wellbeing. It is an association of key stakeholders that is representative of Government, the private sector, and the non-profit third sector.

Tries to bring together Government, private sector, the charities and community at large, to identify and help develop appropriate policies and programmes; research and report on key issues; and build community awareness of its ageing population.

Government Home Resource Aids
Provides personal care to the elderly, and the physically and mentally challenged in their homes. They work closely with Health Visitors and District nurses.

Government Seniors’ Health & Wellness Clinics
Provide seniors with services that promote healthy behaviours and lifestyles that help to maintain and to improve health, quality of life and independence. Provide blood pressure screening and monitoring, blood sugar screening, nutrition assessment and counselling, home safety and functional assessments of activities for daily living, adult immunizations, and prevention guidance in the areas of aging, safety, medication, falls and chronic illnesses.

National Office for Seniors and the Physically Challenged
The National Office for Seniors and the Physically Challenged, Department of Health, was formed to act as a one stop shop for seniors to ensure that they will have no difficulty getting services in Assisted Daily Living (ADL) activities.

The Office provides the following services:

a) Assessment Services. Standardized assessments to determine the level of services needed to facilitate the development of a service plan.

b) Information and Advice Services. Information and advice as needed for all seniors and disabled aged 65 years and over, as well as individuals who are chronically ill and/or permanently disabled.

c) Case Management Services. Case management including needs assessment, development of a service plan, monitoring and follow-up.

d) Referral Services. Referrals to pre-arranged service providers on conditions set out in service contracts. Individuals will be referred for the following types of services:

e) Intake and Assessment. The Office will provide intake and assessment services for a number of Government agencies.
